No. Ghosts to me are just the product of people who want some attention or are seeing things. In the latter case they probably need some professional help.

But here's a story for you: I was sitting at home one night. And I hear the door bell ring. Naturally I was wary because it's late as s***. So I grab my knife. I open the door... and there were three kids in sheets saying 'trick or treat'. Duh, Halloween.

Wow exciting...does anyone have anything better??

I personally don't believe in ghosts. It implies an afterlife of some sort. That's something i don't want to consider. My friend believes in them strongly and actively seeks them. He has many stories of "Ghosts". what got him started...
He lives in a 2 bedroom flat (apartment) and he claims that for 3 nights, one after each other, there was constant banging and a baby crying in the apartment above him. He kept on banging on his ceiling to tell them to be quiet, but they wouldn't/couldn't stop. He was getting no sleep at all over these nights; so he went to his landlord and told them about the banging and crying. The landlord told him that the owner (a single male parent) had been put in jail 3 weeks earlier for beating his baby boy to death because he wouldn't stop crying. No one lived in the flat above him at the time.
Sorry if this upsets anyone reading it.

I have a ghoast story of my own that happened to
me...

My family and I, had moved into an old house, and by saying old, I mean over 2,000 years old. Anyway we
had been living in the house for over 2 years now and
all of the sudden I would have a weird feeling when I
would walk into a room...like the dining room and the
living room especially. I would be walking through the
dining room, and come to a stop because it would feel
like I had ran into someone, I would move around and continu walking...Anyway when I would come down the stairs I would see this shadowy figure...
sometimes more than one. I tried to ignore them.
But every time I would walk down the stairs their they
were. One night when my friend came over it was
especiall creepy, we were sitting on the bed, and I
just happened to look past her at my mirror in the
background of my room and I saw an A on my mirror
I said were did that come from...we went up to go look at it, and realized it was a perfect etched on lower case A. We didn't think much of it at that point
and went to bed...when I woke up in the morning I
looked up at my cealing to see the name anna written
in some sort of blue pencil. When my friends came
to pick her up...I told her about it because she sends
ghoasts off to their after life. She went out in the car
and got some sort of necklace with a big black crystal
on the end of it...went into my room and started saying words in a wisper. Only at this time I had made the connection A for anna. when she came out
of my room she said that it was a ghoast in my room
and allot of other ghosts are connected to my bright heart light. A few months after I found a name pencil
of Anna in the corner of my closet. To this day no one believes me...do you

No, I don't belive in ghosts, all though that is really interesting.

My Wings to Fly From HELL: You say 'My family and I, had moved into an old house, and by saying old, I mean over 2,000 years old.' And yet you live in New York?

A) True modern houses weren't built until the 17th century in America. That's four hundred years. No where near the 2,000+ you claim.

B) Any home built over two thousand years ago would not be standing now or would be structurally unstable. The only home-esque buildings (from that era) still standing are cavern homes. You cannot tell me you live year round in a 50 degree constant with dark dank walls and no electricity and yet you can power your computer.

C) To my knowledge New York does not have any of the aforementioned type of building.

D) Blueberry strudel kicks some major ass.

E) A 2,000+ year old American ghost would not be able to speak, read, write in English or even know the English alphabet. The natives of North America (to my knowledge) never developed writing except for the Cherokee in the (correct me if I am wrong) 19th century. Even then it was no where close to the English alphabet. If they were going to write. They would not have had blue pencil. Regular lead maybe. Not blue.

If anyone knows better on Early American history please feel free to add to/correct me. American history bores me to tears so I prefer to concentrate on Europe.

I don't Live in New York... I don't live anywhere near a city...why would I put were I live on the internet...Our House WAS structurally unstable, not lights, just running water...I am guessing this girl wrote her name on my cealing when she was living as in she lived here. Our house use to be a place were people would rent and live in...before we bought it...so this ghost doesn't have to be 2000+ years old to be haunting it, she could have lived their in the 90's. You need to cool down man geeze...Don't have a stress attack over it!! Don't believe me I don't care...I believe what I see.

Well its not really a ghost story but its like some kind of leporcon or however you spell it story.

one time when i was in mexico my grandpa had died and they had his funeral and everything that same day. well my uncles are crazy and they went to the cemetary late at night to drink and play some music for my grandpa and i HAD to go with them! well i saw this lil shawdow running around and it kept lookin at us i couldnt tell my uncles b-cuz then they'll make fun of me and call me a lil girl. well from what i heard those lil lepercons thingys fall in love with you and they can also harm you with just by lookin at you. well my uncles were super drunk and i was scared as hell and one of my other uncles had disapeared for a while and when we found him on our way to where they buried my grandpa's brother we saw him popin a squat and talkin to what it seem like 'himself' i was the only one who thought it was weird. now it was time to go back home b-cuz 2 of my uncles were passed out and i had to drag them to the truck.the other 2 where already passed out in the truck.i was the only one awake. As scared as i was i had to drive slow because of all the bumps. when i had to get off to close the cemetary doors (alone in the pitch black)i heard one of my uncles (the one that was talkin to him self) say "que chingados?"(what the fk?) and i saw him kick something that stole his hat but i guess it slipped out the whatever it was's hand and i picked it up and gave it back to my uncle. well the next day he got real sick and i told them what had happen and they said that those are bad and that we need to go take it some ciggaretts and some liquor. (thats the only way it'll accept our apoligy and make my uncle get better) so we did and i could of swore as soon as we drove off i saw the lil thing run for the "presents" we had left him. it ran pretty fast. well yeah days passed and he got better. yeah kinda crazy but its true. i got alot of stories to tell but idk they're kinda long

Ok heres my ghost story, my friends and i owned a bar, and everynite at closing time, we had to go check the bathrooms to make sure that the hippie stoners werent hiding in there still smoking, this was an underground bar, where they used to smuggle soldiers during world war 2, and their was even bricks barring one end of the bar, one night after evryone was gone there was seven of us left in the bar, we were sitting around talking about whatever and simultaneously, and all of us saw someone heading towards the bathroom, pissed as all hell my friend ran towards the bathroom to kick him out of the bar, he returned as pale as pale can be, there was no one there, and there was no back exit, and all of us witnessed this "ghost"....so as far i am concerned hell yeah ghosts exist....

Ghost stories, ha!....It always amazes me how quickly people are ready to believe in things supernatural without actually thinking about other more normal explanations.

Not every noise is a ghost, and there is so much we don't know about auditory and visual hillucinations and weird dream states...it's almost arrogant to say you saw a ghost...because the truth is, none of you have the faintest idea what you saw...you saw something sure..I believe you did...but for goodness sake...where is the research and investigation.

There is a reason no parapsychologist [thats a scientist and or psychologst who researches paranormal phenomenon] has ever been able to prove the existence of ghosts...

Know why? Because they probably aren't real in the sense you all think about them...

there was a newly wed couple evrything was great the went to the beach the movies but 1 thing botherd the husband , his wife ( being only 21) keept on flirting with all thease guys!

this made the husband very angry he told his wife it didnt do any thing so he dicided that if she does not want to flirt with him she can flirt with any 1 !! so one night he made sure that she was asleep and whent down to the garden shed and go the axe and choped her up in to 20 little picses.

then he put the picese in a little box and put it under his bed. then tryed to get to sleep .

then he heard something a small wisper that said "why" he just inored it and whent back to sleep

then the next night again "why" "why did u do it"
he kept on telling him self its just in my head its just in my head!

on the 3rd night he herd it again so he go the box and bauid it 3 blocks away he walked haome and tryed to get some sleep but he herd it again "why why" so he drove bake to were he burid the box and dug it up and whent to the iver and chucked it in the river then he whent back hom and tryed to get some sleep then he saw his dead wif hovering above the bed with the axe in his hand and choped HIM up in a

the cops just said it was just a suicid after his wife dissapeard so no 1 knows the truth about what realy happend on that night and no 1 well ever know ...

My house is haunted, and i completely believe in ghosts. ive lived here about 10 years now, and when i was 9 or so i woke up to the song "danny boy" playing over my bed. i was wide awake, i know that. i got out of bed cuz i was like...wtf is up with this? oh and i knew that song because i was singing it for the talent show at school. anyway, everyone but me was asleep. and like i said, i KNOW i was awake, because i stubbed my toe on the way back to my room, adn that wouldnt have hurt if i was asleep...so yeah theres that

and then like a year ago a book went flying off my shelf. and it was the harry potter book. and thats too heavy to just happen to fall...

and i hear footsteps and what not

my gma died in this house 2 years ago as of valentines day..and since then more is happening. but it happened before he died too

i was sitting here in this chair when someone said straight into my ear on the right side (where there is a wall) "hi erika" i was like oh snap!?!?! and ran away. and then a week later i was in the front yard and someone whispered my name into my ear

I think that there is something paranormal out there. I have never had an experience of my own, and I would like to. I watch the sci-fi show Ghost Hunters. It's about the team TAPS. They have changed my mind about ghosts, and such. You should watch it, because they are the most legimate group of ghost hunters I have found out there.

I watched Ghost Hunters too on discovery
but now it's not on the tv anymore

Lol i has a story

there was a beautiful girl and she lived alone, expect for her pet lab, bailey.
She felt more secure and safe knowing she had bailey there to protect her.
Every night before she went to sleep she would go into bed, bailey sleeping next to her bed, she would put her hand down and he would lick it, letting her know he was there.
Anyways one night she went to bed as usual and he licked her hand and she started drifting off to sleep.
Then she heard a dripping noise.
She thought hmm ok? maybe I should go check it out!
She went to the laundry thinking she might of left a tap on or something.
Nope. Nothing. She went back to bed, he licked her hand, and she tried to go to sleep.
The dripping continued.
DARN IT she thought to herself. She really wanted to get to sleep. She went to the kitchen to check the sink.
It was fine. Frustrated but tired she went back to bed, slipped under the covers, he licked her hand and she drifted back to sleep.
She had been woken once more by the incessant dripping.
THATS IT she thought to her self. She went to check the bathroom. The sink was fine, bath was fine, but she decided to check the shower.
She pulled back the curtains and tied with rope to the showerhead was bailey, his head crooked and blood dripping everywhere.
SHE SCREAMED and turned around at the sound of the bathroom door closing. It had in big red writing:
Humans can lick too, open the door I am waiting for you.
