Metal Detector:

by Scott Cole   May 6, 2015

Today is your day
It's just your luck,
I'm allergic to metal
And I will hiccup.

If you hold me out
A little above ground,
And wave me around
Till you hear my sound.

See I am allergic
To all metal things,
And if I get close
My whole body rings.

My eyes will tear up
And my throat may swell,
When you hear my hiccup
That's how you tell.

Drop to your knees
What could it be,
Pull back the ground
That is beneath me

It still could be good
It was only a hiccup,
But if I should ever sneeze
I hope you have a pick-up.
