The Way It Is

by Danielle   Apr 20, 2008

It starts out with a vicious rage,
Then I laugh it down with lemonade.
Next clouds form over the sky
While my tears drip from my sickened eyes.
I flash a smile of cool sensation,
And hold back my violent imagination.
Because, if it were to shine through,
I don't know what I might do
Throw a table, break a chair,
Throw my body in the air,
And hope you are there to catch me.

A clear expression of mixed emotions. i love the way you chose 'lemonade', it just gives me the imagery of a gorgeous sunny day compared to when 'clouds form over the sky'
