Down by the Bay

by liliumity   Nov 18, 2014

Down the bay, the animals have their way.
In the water they play, beneath the sun's rays
Day after day, down by the bay.

Down by the bay, it was really a shame
When the funny humans and bulldozers came
Day after day, down by the bay.

Down by the bay, it all went away
Where the fishes swam and the animals played.
Where they once were, condominiums stayed.

A beautiful mixture of nature and humanity, and how humans are always endangering that home of the animals, and the peace they deserve. I liked the layout and the repetition, nice work.

Oh this is a quite a sad poem....
It tells us how things have been destroyed.... Nature has been destroyed... And ask that is left down by the bay are condominiums....

It tells how we funny silly humans are destroying what we actually need and require for our own survival.....

    Beautiful poem....

    Welcome to Poems and Quotes!

This was a short but a nice poem with rhythm, almost song like, addressing one of the issues that have happened with nature. It makes one wonder about the world we live in. Once it was a bay and now it is a condominium. Keep writing.
