Garden Chair

by Janet   Jan 5, 2006

Here I sit
a garden chair,
Summer's whimsy
in the air.

Spiders, flies
and bumblebees
all leave me weak
in the knees.

Stepping stones
lead to the gate,
cracked and chipped
as is my fate.

Cocktails, dinner:
Celebration!
Winter, snow,
and my vacation.
