You Never Cared

by LockedInEternity   Sep 30, 2008

Convince me otherwise, I beg you
For I've induced it in my mind by now.
That you used me for pure enjoyment
Merely a dessert on the side of a full course meal.
And you don't care.

This was the worst you could come up with
Taking me in as I was your own.
Making me trust your deceitful spells of charm.
Then when you've had your fill of me, you threw me out.
And you still didn't care.

Pulled at the strings that attach to my limbs
To force me into any position you wished.
Not once did you stop and think about me.
You never donated, not even a simple sorry.
Because I know, you didn't care.

When you were through, the strings all fell.
No longer was I held up by misleading emotions.
All I became now was frail and broken
Lying on the shattered floor of my heart.
But did you care?

No, you never cared, not for a moment.
Embedded in those lies you worded so delicately so no one saw
Was the understated truth you had to hide.
That you needed me just once.
And after that, you didn't care.

Wow. This poem was definatly coming from true feelings and emotions. Such a sad write, really. But, the raw feelings and emotions made the poem a huge success. Hmm, I don't think there's anything wrong with this one. I don't think you can go wrong at all with speaking your true feelings and emotions. Great job! 5/5. (:
