Cleansing

by Gentle Storm   Oct 6, 2008

Time runs out,
Feeling like a trout,
In the ocean,
Swimming round about,
Aimlessly,
Dangerously,
No place to go,
Lost in a shark's territory.
Got to fight,
Like a warrior.
Give me,
No reason to worry.
Don't want,
To live and be sorry.
Lord, please,
Shine your light upon my soul.
Lord, please,
Come and cleanse my body whole.

Energy burns up,
Trapped,
In an antelope's body,
Vast African wild,
Weary...desperate,
Life or death.
Victim of circumstance,
No place to go,
Lost in a cheetah's path.
Struggling,
Suffering,
Legs shuffling,
In the throes of death.
Lord, please,
Shine your light upon my soul.
Lord, please,
Come and cleanse my body whole.

^^^This repetion made it a really strong poem. I love how you portayed you feelings, Peter.
Life can wear us down sometimes...and to such a degree we want to give up...but it is our will to live and our love for God and our fellow men that always keeps us strong:)
A powerful poem, keep writing and you will go far!

    Hugs,
