Nowhere are you

by Iola   Feb 16, 2009

I went to my church
You were not there
Heard you during birth
Told me that you cared

Swung around a tree
Saw you in a branch
Promised to love me
During every dance

Left for a loaf of bread
Called for you to be true
Looked under my bed
The boogie man may be you

Searched up in the sky
Between the birds and bees
You will never lie
Promised on your knees

Went to an older day
Tried to proof you exist
Too my utter dismay
Removing you from my list
