Puppet

I found a cow on the side of the road
She seemed to be lost with nowhere to go
She wore clothes of last year's season
But they were torn for some off reason
She didn't seem to be scared or confused
Looked as if she was only being used
The strings atop her head made her arms and legs move
All of her emotions the strings did remove
As i watched and stared
I found myself beginning to care
What a poor little cow to be in such a place
To be running so hard but never finishing the race
I had to pretned her smile was real
And that her pain wasn't about to peal
So old and un-new that little cow sure is
So pay close attention so you'll pass the pop quiz
Whatever she is hiding we aren't supposed to know
That's why she paints a fake smile so her feelings don't show
Let her go through the motions of everyday life
Let her deal with her problems of everyday normal strife
When life gave her lemons she made grape juice
Then sat back and watched the people make her a noose
Annoyed they may be there is a lesson through all
Don't be too high on your horse or you'll do a great fall
Still what a poor little fat cow
This is her life now
