A Whole New World

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 27, 2010

Royal magic carpet
sweep the princess
off her feet
and pick us up
at half past dusk
to fly without wings.

Bump her gently
toward my hand
I will hold it
and make a journey
where all we do
is happily dream.

Majestic palace fades
no more locked inside
the world is waiting
and I have brought
its joyous splendor
to your eyes.

Do not look away
hold on tight
you won't fall
and as we dance
past flowing clouds
they together sing.

White stallions
wish to join us
we blow kisses
and they hope
their very best
for our divine fate.

Fascinating light
newly found countries
you are free
and never can we
return or go back
to life as it was.

An imaginative land
is opened up
it is now ours
and we will thrive
on blooming night tales
that are woven.

Always remember
never let go
create musical notes
and famine won't come
as long as we cherish
and fully love.

The magical song "A Whole New World" from the Disney movie Aladdin, greatly inspired me to write this piece.

A big amen to that, MaryAnne.

This poem is another one filled with optimism and joy:)
You have inspired me to make something based on another form of art now!

It is nice to see how much inspiration you have, it is a bit hard for me though, to keep up with you, ha ha.

    God bless and a hug,
