A Broken Doll

by xEmmax   Apr 2, 2010

It scared me when I finally did it.
The pressure hit
Fates come in clockwork
But I did not know my fate
I did not want to stay, but was I ready to leave?
I fought for hours
Stared through the bedroom window into darkness
Heart racing, then dragging
Breathing cut short, then gasping
Just run and jump, the window lay open
Falling to the unknown result
A broken back, or a graze on the face?
Not enough pills in the secluded room
Searching for escape from the vicious circle
Something had to give. That night. It was time.
I wasnt there, but I watched,
like an angel on a cloud above bloodshed
it was pitch black
I snapped the plastic edges
Took the glint of innocent silver
A slow steady drag, a bony wrist
And then I felt the flowing warmth
Too much too soon, I was numb.
I heard a tortured wail, from the lips of a broken doll.
Skin cut deep, a spreading deep red stain.
