A dedication to my friends

Come close, my friends,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Some secrets of this life,
You might not otherwise hear,

People in this world,
have problems and woes,
they sometimes are hurt,
by an emotional blow,

But don't think you're alone,
Many are just like you,
With their share of insecurities,
Unsure how to get through,

Some even cry out,
"Where is the love?"
But if you take the time to look,
You'll find more than enough,

For buried beneath the regrets,
You are surrounded in friends,
That will listen to your problems,
Not just pretend,

They will stand by your side,
Until the bitter end,
And make sure that your battle,
Is one you will win,

So listen, my friends,
I say this for it's true,
I thank God everyday,
That I have friends just like you.
