Reminiscences of a Sweet Rendezvous

Reminiscences of a Sweet Rendezvous

The silence of your lips touch mine
An explosion of color fills my heart
As the vibrant rays overflow from the heavens above
Showing down to the earth below
The sun fades away with a slow succession
With one final golden flash the night sets in
Leaving a cold crisp in the air
Watching the glistening of the snow in the twilight
Climbing up the powdered mountain to the view
Stopping to see the glory of God's creation
A moment like this must indeed be a dream
How mesmerizing the midnight sky becomes
As the aurora moves like the waves of the sea
With every breath being pulled closer to the moon
Could I but reach out and touch this masterpiece?
Would it be as icy as the Arctic atmosphere?
Or as fierce as the Arabian Desert winds?
Beyond the blanket of radiant luminaries
A comet streams gently across the sky
Leaving remnants of sapphire dust
Guiding my eyes safely back to yours
Just a moment ago feeling completely lost
Captivated within the endless galaxy
But for this single moment
I have been truly found
