Just A Glimpse

Just a Glimpse

Life trials vanish into the darkest midst
Suctioning you into the vortex of the abyss

Down,

Down,

Down,

Into the black hole of wonderland
The golden key stripped from your bare hands
Holds you back, pondering...
Where is the silver-lining?
Or the smallest trickle of light?
The corroding stench of lifes failures
Suffocates you into overwhelming despair
An emotional punch hits the hardest
Seizing the breath itself from its capacity
Contemplating the reality of yesterdays past
Searching for the clarity within the tainted looking-glass
Formulating a desperate plan of escape
Veni, Vidi, Vici,
POOF POOF Gone!
Mad out of your mind
Honestly, does curiosity kill the pig
Or just the idiot who forgot to think for their self?
Pray that you can make it through the wild fire
Devouring the entire world
Keep your senses alert and unaltered
For deception and manipulation are sure to follow
Lift up the veil and see what reality befalls you
Do not be ensnared by the demons of all
For is it simply your bad luck or destiny
That caused you to fall?
Look to the origin and there you shall find the answer
The light at the start of the tunnel
Hope remains attainable
Ending the oppression of life burdens
And Maybe
Just maybe you can find the courage to say,
"I came, I saw, and I conquered"

-Psalms 83:18
