Even these tears won't bring you back...

I've always been told to put on a smile
Things will get better this way
But as time has passed and I'm still broken
The pain doesn't seem to go away

People tell me to surround myself with friends
Make yourself busy and you will see
That you can make it without her
But why do I still feel so empty?

Sitting alone in my room tonight
I try to focus on something new
But my heart just won't let go
It keeps turning back to you

I have been told to pick up the pieces
And try to put them back together
But that will not bring you back to me
You have left my life forever

My pillow is here to feel the tears I cry
As I wipe my eyes once again
I will fall asleep with another wet pillow
Missing my one and only, best friend...

    Wow great poem but if true I'm sorry you feel this way and I can kinda relate in the moment of now,,,this has touched my heart and you can just visualize as I read each word,,no favorite stanza because it's all so great,,I loved it 5/5

    -That empty feeling, horrible. Trying so hard to get ur mind off her when nothing works.

    My pillow is here to feel the tears I cry

    -I can see this happening :(. You crying so bad your tears are soaked up in the pillow missing them.

    Filled with such deep raw emotion. The pain you feel by losing her is so strong & so hurtful it makes u feel it.
