Waiting

by PinkyPrincess   Jan 12, 2012

Lost in my pensive thoughts,
wondering about you.
Are you thinking about me
the way I can't stop thinking about you?

I never thought I'd miss you
more than I miss the light of day.
Hearing your sweet, pure voice
every morning and night was vital.

I know I took for granted
the 'I-love-you' whispers
you sent me everyday
and the songs you sang me.

I haven't been able to function,
I can't eat, drink or sleep
without hearing your voice.
My life's necessity is only you.

I try to distract myself by
walking in the lovely park.
I can't enjoy the stunning view,
without you by my side.

I pray for you to recover
and to find your strength.
I will be waiting patiently,
even if I have to wait forever.

I loved this and how you showed such an unfailing love for someone that no matter how long it tales you'll wait for that person even if it means forever because a happy life without them just would not exist. I like how it wasn't too matchy with the ryhming but yet it still flowed extremely well and each wor d you chose fell into place very nicely. :) great write.

Honestly speaking I was blown by the very first stanza because it sounds so raw.. and the rest were great actually but not like the first.
So overall, quite an enjoyable piece from you ;)

I thought I would return the favor since you wrote a comment on my poem...

This poem was amazingly written and so heartfelt that it just created powerful emotions to go with it.

A simple from the heart poem. Laced in sadness. You allowed us to feel what you wrote, leaving nothing to the imagination. Excellent
