Mirrors

by Marino Vilano   Feb 8, 2012

Who the hell do you think you are,
Living this life with disregard.
I see you looking at me in the eye,
I see the lies, that you simply can't hide.

You keep lying to this world, to yourself,
You say your trying to be a better help.
A helping hand is a better man,
But I see you, and you make me mad.

Why are you afraid to show your true colors?
Why do you fear the critique of others?
You were created to be unique,
You are here to be distinct.

I look at you with so much confusion,
I see myself filled with frustration.
I imagine this being just an illusion,
But I snap back with no hesitation.

How can I live with someone I simply hate?
How can you be like this and just get away?
I'm done with this game,I'm tired of playing,
Let's start a new one, where I have my way.

Go away and never come back,
Don't even think of a counterattack.
You had your fun and had your ways,
It's time to start over, I'm taking back my name.

You fooled everyone once,
Good for you,
I dare you to try again,
I bet you won't.

So mirror mirror on this wall,
It's time for change, for the good of all.
You no longer make me go insane,
I now know who I will be, I know my name.

Okay, this was a good piece.
But I do think that all you have to do is focus in the flow of the poem.
And it will be good to go because this piece has a really good tone. The reader can feel the author speaking and the questions really help.
