A Retro World

by Holly Cassidy   May 29, 2012

I'm out in a world of my own,
far away from this place,
in a different part of the world.
A different time period,
a different era,
oh how I wish I wasn't born too late.
My mind doesn't belong
in this modern world of ours;
it's somewhere back there admiring
the wonders of that specific time.
How I wish not to awake from this beautiful dream.
If only, oh if only I could stay in this world of mine.
But unfortunately, reality will soon have to wake me up.
