A Cat's Tongue {a terza rima}

by Skyfire   Apr 24, 2013

Is lithe and small
And not really
soft at all

endearing
with a single lick
then listening, and hearing

steady as a tick
tock, an accompanying purr
as pinkness flicks

across grey-striped fur--
a paw is washed,
gold eyes flicker.
