Its been weeks since I heard your voice,
months since I felt your touch,
just praying for another chance
to hold your hand on the couch.

Please dear Lord, bring him back.
Don't make us forget his smile,
or his smile, tormented by drugs.
we've been waiting all this while.

I miss the way you talked with me,
the way you laughed and agreed;
how you stood by and took the treatment
as noble as a knight and his steed.

I'm begging you Lord,
make him feel no more pain
as us left here in the war-torn world
must live through the bloody rain.
