My Dark Green Muse

by Watercolourz   Sep 8, 2014

So few things shine so bright,
Still so few things bring such delight,
A sight that makes a bitter heart beat faster,
A smell that turns all heads towards her,
She makes dreams turn to crystal matter,
She makes them shimmer as they shatter,
So many lost in her gaze are,
They never really make it far,
A flower with such grip on man,
Was never meant to be outran,
A flower whose entire power,
Will haunt you till your final hour,
Such mesmerizing is her face,
That all man beg for her embrace,
They yearn for the day she looked upon them,
An incredible sight you cannot condemn,
A mist of thick flowery passion,
The purple haze defies creation,
Her beauty knows no limit,
As does the grace she can exhibit,
Her fiery hair falls on her shoulders,
Style that makes me feel no bolder,
Staring at the amber that is her hair,
Hearing her heart beat when she is here,
Lost in the depths of her dark green eyes,
And it shall come to no surprise,
That even when I'm not amused,
I turn to her, for she's my muse.
