Beholder Of Lies

I look into your eyes
trying to find the truth
in every word you say,

but trust is one more thing
that your betrayal took away.

Another thing I struggle to believe in,
even though you keep on hoping.

Perhaps one day I will forget
the lies your eyes have told,
but until then I can't forgive
the lies that you behold.

    I love this poem too saffie.

    You really have a way with words.You use the simplest of words to get the deepest of meanings.
    You write almost all those things that normally I think everyone in this world has gone through and wants to say.
    If you like Taylor Swift, I'll say your poems are like Taylor's lyrics- truthful, easy and everyone wants to say them to someone in their life.

    I like your rhyming too...it's beautiful.
    And truly trust breaks with betrayal.

    I'm not gonna tell which line I like the most because I love each and every line in the poem, each and every line.

    I'm simply in love with this poem.This one goes in my favorite's too. :D
