Bald Is Beautiful

I know that people judge you
because I used to judge you too,
I thought you were unsightly
and questioned who would ever love you.

Strangers pass you glances
and speak aloud their thoughts,
and every day that passes by,
comes with clouded judgement
about your different coloured eyes.

Just because you have no fur,
they assume you deserve no love.
People always tell me how they would never own you,
but that just makes me smile,
because they don't deserve to have you.

You see, I have grown to love you
through the time that we have shared.
Your personality is brighter than the sun
and your loyalty is ever-lasting.

I would not change you for the world -
I love you for being you.
Every person who judges you,
makes me even prouder of owning you.

And you have also taught me
a lesson true in life,
which others need to learn;

that beauty really is skin-deep
and bald can be beautiful too!
