Crashing Waves

by Gone Forever   Sep 23, 2015

Scars criss cross the veins on my wrist,
while blood pools at my feet
and my heart slows
to a stop.

The tears fall slower and slower
until all that's left of them
is the puddle mixed
in with the blood.

The pain flows over my whole body
in wracking neverending sobs
that feel like earthquakes
taking away my sanity.

Make these nightmares stop at night;
make them go away forever,
or at least for long enough
to let me sleep.

Take everything away from me, as everyone
else has done before, and will do again.
Make it easier, before it becomes
unbearable again.
