Just a state of mind...

by Mr. Darcy   Dec 6, 2015

20 seconds to comply
dark clouds loom over,
the 'last goodbye'

Fate crawls slowly,
its' blood congealing,
a dead man walking:
A hooded revealing.

Air acts like a rope,
its' strands fraying fast;
with each fiber that snaps,
will this breath...

be my

last?

I actually don't think you are talking about yourself here...for some reason I'm seeing this as a metaphor for something else? Of course, it is very relatable to a lot of things is most of our everyday lives so...very clever of you. I mean...really, it could relate to last minute Christmas shopping in my life :)

When life has reached its darkest moment, I know the feeling well. But we have to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we are able with enormous strength by our side to overcome these moments. Enjoyed reading.

While reading this I felt like I'm having an anxiety attack! The suffocation, doubts and hopelessness really has a way to throw you off balance...an intense write. Take care.

I agree with all Ingrid says, this is an excellent piece. I myself gave it a fully deserved five the other night and meant to comment on it but got side tracked by the other excellent piece you wrote that night which is nominated!
    All the best,
    Ben
