I actually don't think you are talking about yourself here...for some reason I'm seeing this as a metaphor for something else? Of course, it is very relatable to a lot of things is most of our everyday lives so...very clever of you. I mean...really, it could relate to last minute Christmas shopping in my life :)
When life has reached its darkest moment, I know the feeling well. But we have to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we are able with enormous strength by our side to overcome these moments. Enjoyed reading.
While reading this I felt like I'm having an anxiety attack! The suffocation, doubts and hopelessness really has a way to throw you off balance...an intense write. Take care.

I agree with all Ingrid says, this is an excellent piece. I myself gave it a fully deserved five the other night and meant to comment on it but got side tracked by the other excellent piece you wrote that night which is nominated!
