A What?

Don't tell me I've tried
when in deed I've fallen with a thud
with bright colors to believe I've flied
yet in truth I've only scored a third.

Must everything be about success?
is the spirit conditioned not to forfeit?
answers for these are hard to access
Alas my queries I must leave they for fate.

For failure is nay fatal
I drink to that
and its crash nay lethal
bless that, for it I remove my hat.

Ask me not if this be a sonnet
whom you seek is Ben this be his den.

    Hello, I realise this is no sonnet, but is better than actual self flagellation. Although the emotional pain is more often than not worse then the physical variety.

    Nice rhyme and word play in a form that reads and presents well. Also, nice topical mention of Ben in relation to this weeks win.
