The bells did toll... (loop/fib)

by Mr. Darcy   May 17, 2016

The bells did toll...

rain,
rain,
rain falls,
falls like tears,
tears from bleeding eyes;
eyes that ruptured when I saw you,
you making love to him: The Best man at our wedding.

Inspired by Senyru's 'Experiment 1' poem:
http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/misc/poems.php?id=1250627

The blurb taken from footnote of the above poem:

i combined the fib poetry (syllable count for each verse must follow the fibonacci sequence (1,1,2,3,5,8,13...), where each number is the sum of the previous two numbers), and loop poetry, where the first word in every verse is the same as the previous verse's ending word.

Is love ever lost? (Shakespearean sonnet)

Where are the flowers that I gave to you;
The ones adorning the bouquet you held?
Each delicate petal the colour rouge;
Their echo mingles with the tolling bells.

My heart still beats from that November day,
The way you wore that smile and held my hand.
I recall the scent in such a vivid way
And how we danced upon the silver sand.

But as I gaze down at the sepia
The image swirls before my very eyes;
At once we're young again and much firmer
And roses are as real as you and I.

A marriage creates a love that cannot end;
within a mind love always will transcend.

A marriage of two hearts will always be
A love that will remain eternally

    Michael, I really like this. So elegant, unique and packs a real punch line at the end.

    Cannot believe it but these things happen and probably daily. I like how you describe the teardrops' being like rain because the rain doesn't seem to stop here lol. I hope this isn't literal though.

    Great write as always.

    Very funny Ben, but you can blame Mark for his experiment inspiring me.

    The trouble is, you'll write a bloody triple, Loop/fib/fib/loop/loopy/lies..... now!!!
