The Pain of an Ouch!

by Shelley Williams   Jun 28, 2016

You may ache with an ache that is sorer than sore,
A pain so troubling you can't take anymore,
The accident happen and an ouch! will take form
Sensory from the brain as if cold turned to warm.

A pinch in the nerve, discomfort is to suspense
The first signs of an ouch! in those who are tense.
Pain in the direction, hither, whither or where?
A twist, step and a stumble, twice the ligament tear.

An Ouch! is a throb that carries a pulsate of pain
If not a broken bone, it is wrapped as a sprain,
Consider the risk to be two more than three
when active in sports, where an ouch! should not be.
