Genius delight

by Michael   Jul 5, 2017

Such a nuisance; is this damn
writers block, like a race against
time to write; just to write one line.

...tick-tock...

It almost sounds like
the ticking; and tocking
speeds up on my clock!

alas!...

something is coming; I can feel it
in the room, come on; come on...
The moon; the moon,

...the MOON...

..WHAT!?

The moon shines ....NO!
Shiny moon I.....NO!
Like a mo.....NO!

I know I am an author,
one who can write.
An alternative name; should be:

‘Genius delight’
^
(ironic plight!)

Its four in the morning
and really annoyingly; boring...

..NOW!,

the dawn chorus comes calling,
my mouth; aching from yawning.
Soon I will have to start drawing..

..my curtains......

The dawn chorus brings music; to my ears
Sunbeams; fan; a spectrum of radiant light
Slowly my mind changes down its gears
My poetic motion; sinks unto ‘Genius delight’

that’s better...

.....goodnight.

Ok I am going to be honest this is absolutely fantastic lol though I do think it'll benefit more from being centered but that's just my personal view. I guess we can all relate to this writers block you talk about but if this was written with writers block then I want writers block all the time hehe some of the best writes I feel are when our minds are blocked.

You do make me laugh Em, but you are right we do in some cases and the first verse of a poem I will probably complete came, when I was in a stumped place.

But also thanks for you lovely comments
