You Were Never Mine

by marvellous efe/ bwoy Finex   Sep 12, 2017

You were never mine
You never stood in line
I wonder why you lied
with the fake emotional tears you cried.

You were never mine
My love for you, you couldn't decline
But it messages you didn't replied
suffocating it till it died.

You were never mine
still I love you like; fine
Maybe you gave me something to eat
Something terrific that I could not vomit.

You were never mine
You just wants to wine and dine
And then come and go
for all you've known you've shown.

Now you've left
And you think I'll continue to weep for you?
No! a lesson I learnt and I kept
Am now living a life so new.

But don't think you left me in pain
Don't think my account is even a bit drained
Don't think I'll melt away like an ice
Or frown my face when I see you again looking nice.

there is a reason why you were never mine
And that's because you weren't meant to be mine.

    Once more
    This is one special writer...
I enjoy his choices of words
His sentiments are so well depicted and expressed with unequal depth

Awww, beautiful piece, with strength and acceptance within. That's right, there is still someone for you, and for you only. :-)
