Red light

by Yakari Gabriel   Oct 29, 2017

My whole life I've been running
running head down, bumping into everything and everyone
saying no like a tongue twister
I mastered
always wishing myself gone
always wishing myself elsewhere

I would've kept running had you not
stop me, had you not taken me that hotel
room and press your body into mine
that night. I've always hoped for better
until your arms were around my naked body, making me believe you're the best.
