Conversation

by Beautiful Tragedy   Jan 13, 2018

I don’t have a bedpost but;
I do have four walls and you can carve your name into every single one of them if you’d like.
The morning sky is a light shade of purple as I stand at my kitchen window and check my phone again for a response to the latest text I sent.
I know you’re working so I never take it personal;
And as I trace my fingers along your picture on my phone screen I can’t
help but wish you were here to do exactly that.
You’d mentioned during a talk we’d had that under some circumstances it would’ve happened months ago but-
honestly I wouldn’t have been ready months ago and probably would have had to have taken a rain check on it so I’m glad you never asked.
Now;
All I can think about is how much I’d rather be in your arms than anyone else’s;
How much I’d rather just show you how I feel instead of saying it because at the end of the day my love;
We don’t always need to use words in order to have a conversation.
And this is a conversation I’m more than ready to have whenever you are.
