Embers in the Sky

by Hope   Nov 9, 2018

Ember-
what could I forget by the campfire?
a night but never the stars,
a sunrise by December,
the Fall in November,
Amen...it's all gold by dawn,
I'll always remember the sun,
forget me not by the stars;
a gold memoir,
never remember me by the cold side of December,
but take the embers and throw them to the stars; my reservoir,
Amen down on Main Street;
down on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams,
Amen...amen to the child left in exile,
dawn of the moon, dawn of the stars,
you'll see it all by eyes of the skull.....

Embers;
call me in December,
when the black gem sky shines crystals,
it's hysterical with mania,
like the Tasmanian Devil,
call me when the autumn leaves fall,
a gold star remembering the sky,
from sunset to sunrise.
