The Eye of the Storm

by Hope   Apr 19, 2020

I see the stars spinning at 37.5 degrees Celsius,
the black hole sucks me in;

empty and dark and catastrophic in my bones,
I feel the chill go down my spine;
through the loop hole and time,

I'm alone;
but I look up in my broken conundrum...
a silver lining through grey storms,
I have faith in the warmth;
the warmth from the cold.

    These three stanzas were so captivating! The specifics of "37.5 degrees Celsius", which I had to look up, to signify the start of a fever? The black hole, the chaos in your bones. There's a sense of complete disorder, not only in the world but in your reality. Reality is not something you can grasp. You cannot find your surroundings. But in this storm, you've found a fervor. A break from the cold. Perhaps the cold of reality? The harshness of the world?

    Lots of enigmas in this, and that's precisely why I enjoyed the several read throughs! Please keep sharing.
