I Will Never Forget You

You and me, we have the same gift.
It's really special, if you catch my drift.
I was so excited, the first time I heard.
Thought I was the only one, isn't that absurd?

I only get to see you once a year.
But to my heart, you're very dear.
I wouldn't be the same if I hadn't met you.
And I think to myself, "what would I do?"

Great guy, good friend, you're always there,
And it never feels like you don't care.
You are such a joy, and to me you've showed,
A better path down life's long road.

You always manage to make me smile,
And laugh out loud for quite a long while.
You are such a Crazy guy,
With a nice, big hug always in supply.

I will never ever forget you.
I hope you'll always remember me too.
And all of those summers past,
Those memories will always last.

    Wow. terrific poem. this is exactly how i feel about my guy friend from camp. he makes me laugh and i dont know what i would do without him. i know if we lived near eachother we'd always be together. you did a terrific job keep up the good work!!!!

    See, as i commented in your other poem; all these ideas are basically ones i've seen one way or the other throughout reading poems.. neither of your poems ive read are bad by any stretch of the word, but theyre kinda "run of the mill" i do believe the feelings were special and very unique to you, yourself, but your conveyance wasnt so much. it seemed like each previous rhyme directed where the next line would go, idea-wise. try writing a poem that doesnt rhyme and see how that works out.. good job th0.. it did have genuine sentiment..
