School throught the popular kids P.O.V Part 1/15

by Ashleigh Skye   Jul 7, 2005

Everyone knows my name,
As I walk down these cement halls,
Everyone sees my face,
But no one really hears my calls.

They think I have millions of friends,
But I know deep down its not true,
For when I’m faced with hard times,
My friends I cannot turn to.

I don’t even like half of them,
Yet in my close circle they stay,
As the saying goes safety in numbers,
So these “friendships” I display.

I have the whole school under my thumb,
Everyone at my beck and call,
Except when I need them most,
When I feel so very small.

They all know my face,
But they don’t really know me,
They don’t see the broken girl I am,
Just who I pretend to be.

The quarterback is my boyfriend,
But even he doesn’t care,
He doesn’t like me for who I am,
Just what I represent, and what I wear.

My so-called friends really hate me,
Just stand with me for what it means,
Giving them power and control,
Over the rest of the teens.

Everyone knows my name,
Yet no one cares if I fall,
For I am just the popular girl,
Walking down the hall.

This is really good and I'm sure many popular kids feel that way. I'm not popular but, a lot of people know me and I have good friends...I think that's better!
