Trigger Tragedy (Huitain)

by †JustAri†   Aug 23, 2005

Bullets whispering in their ears
They are young ones, they do not know
Very close is the end of years
Mother left home awhile ago
Father's in the basement below
A pull of the trigger ended
Little lives gone makes hearts to sew
Because guns were unattended

*If you have little ones in a household where there is also a gun (or any weapon, for that matter), either keep it where they cannot find it or get rid of it. Simple as that. No more children's lives should be stolen all because of an accident that could've been well prevented.

Huitain:
A Spanish poetry form, it revolves around the number 8 - there are 8 lines to the poem, with 8 syllables per line. The rhyming scheme is ABABBCBC

The message is powerful and it reminds me of a scene in the movie 6 sence. good job, you have better but this one is still good and creative.
