Life is a challenge sometimes
Like a rock falling from the sky
It makes me want to cry
I don't want to fall when it hits
But it brings me down anyway
Makes me feel like I can't go on
But I just have to learn to pick up my feet
And learn to retreat from the spot where the rock will fall
I know it's coming
It sounds like it's humming
Always toward me
Some times I want to yell at it
Tell it to leave me alone
And walk away
Unafraid
But I know it is coming
And I won't have the courage to walk away
In one more day
I tell myself
I will walk away
But why not stay,
If the rock will fall anyway?
