I am not gone, I never will be

by Switchblade89   Dec 24, 2005

I may have passed away, but please don't mourn for me,
I am not gone, I never will be,
I am every plant that you see grow,
I am the cool breeze that you feel blow,
I am the glistening of new fallen snow,
I am the soothing feeling of rain falling on skin,
and when the new morning rays creep in,
I am the warmth that you feel within,
I am the sun that shines so bright,
and I am the pillow that you sleep on at night,
I may have passed away, but please don't mourn for me,
because I'm not gone, and I never will be,

It reminds me strangely enough of Lonestar's "I'm already there". I especially like this one because it's simple and short, but amazingly powerful.
