My departure

by David   Aug 22, 2006

The broken glass,
The shattered dreams
Now filled with blood-curdling screams

But times will change, of that I hope
Coz right now I can barely cope.

The fiery flaring flailing freak,
Who ran up and down in an eternal shriek
The gaze of many, him did follow
And I was alone, and tired and hollow

I wondered what was wrong with him
What had caused this rage inside if him?

I finally realised who he was
I finally understood what he does

And it dawned in me as I drifted away

My mangled body, lying there
The blood spilling from my hair

I was gone, banished from this place
And all was stripped away,
And I remained a mere shell with a face

And my friends wailed,
My body, they shook and flailed

As I departed
