One Word

by Esther   Sep 29, 2006

I was fine that day,
Now in the ground I lay,
It was such a wonderful time,
That day when you killed me!

You may wonder how,
But I will not tell you,
It's your fault,
If you do not know how,

Think back on that day,
Think back to may,
That day,
The day I died!

You killed me with that one single thing,
Once done I knew I could never go back,
I knew in time you would realize it too,
So with your actions I die!

All it was was one word!

I liked this although I think it could be expanded upon a little.
The power of words should never be underestimated and your stark narrative certainly makes a strong point.

Hmm i'm not really sure about this poem cause i'm not sure what your talking about, but i think i might know.
i think you should add a little more to it cause it leaves the reader wondering what this poem it about, but it is good. 5/5
