Love Will Live

''Ice is broken,
Triggering relationships of remembrance,
While the fires of love are doused,
And memories swarm to heal the wound,
There are beginnings and endings,
Futures and treasured pasts,
Friends and family live within your soul,
Long after they are gone,
Reach for that comfort,
Hold onto that warm touch of care,
Never forget, but let go,
Life will go on; love will live''

Her grandmother`s words made tears well in her eyes,
Words that had been whispered to her as a 7-year-old girl,
That had filled her heart and meant so much,
She still remembered that day and remembered that touch,
The touch of her dying grandmother`s hand,
Held softly within her own.

    I don't know how this doesn't have more votes or comments. This was amazing!! It made me want to cry. It reminded me so much of me and my grandmother. You don't even know...i can't even explain myself! Lol. I loved this!!! And like Elijah said...this was really unique...not just the idea of the poem but the way you wrote it. Never stop!!!!
