In the Time of Never

The fire from her shadowed eyes,
Burns deep inside her soul,
Ignited flames of hatred,
Extinguished, but left with coal,

Never will they cool to ash,
For life brings no relief,
Burning away, awaiting collapse,
'Til friends bare the burden of grief,

Years of a tainted purity,
Washed away with death forever,
But those who live to tell this tale,
Will accept this aching pain,

In the Time of Never.

    Wow.
    This poem was simply fabulous. When you write, you write with such vivid detail - I had pictures playing in my mind while reading it. The flow was flawless & your word usage was great.

    this is awsome.. its short but strong.. lots of emotion also.. great flow and rythme!

    I don't really understand this poem that well.
    Will you explain it to me?
    But other than that.
    I think it's good, your format is.
    Only, the second stanza last sentence
    Seemed a wee bit forced.
    Nothing big, really.
    If you explain the poem to me,
