Now It Is Coming Clear

by FireCracker   Jan 12, 2007

Looking at our picture through a single frame
Making a wreck less attempt to find closure
Trying to pick up all these pieces
To help mend the fact, it's really over

A picture of us makes it all come clear
Resisting the urge to pick up the phone to hear your voice
Remembering that the reason you are no longer in my life
Isn't what I thought it was, it truly is by your choice

If you wanted me in your life
You'd find a way to put me there
Because I know longer can give, while you take
I've gone out of my way to show I care

Now that it's over
I continue to do nothing but reminisce
As you continuously go through my head
Along with all those little things I am going to miss

Because that picture in a frame
Can not capture the touch of your skin
It attempts to grab your smile
But nothing can withhold that million dollar grin

Every one says I can't really see you
They all tell me I'm blind
But they must not know how I work
And what goes on in my mind

The possibility in a promise
Helped me wait, and you I'd never doubt
But now things are different
And I'm much better off without

It has taken a long time for me to see
The reason why you are no longer here
I could never admit to seeing your game
And now it's finally coming clear.

Other than that I LOVED THIS POEM! You have an excellent starting stanza ....it told exactly what was going on in this poem..as if it were a story you told the characters, the setting, and what was going on...I love stories/ AND poems that do that!
Great write with this one hun!
