Trying To Say Goodbye

I'm not sure why its so hard for me
I don't know why I still cry
I have not a clue
As to why it hurt so much to say goodbye

I wish I could explain it
But you'd never understand
It was everything about you
From your smile to the touch of your hand

And you'll never really know
This pain I'm going through
For now I just fake a smile and say
How I'm OK I'm no longer with you

These cold crystal tears
Fall down my face when I try to speak
My tears weigh but nothing
Yet make me so very weak

But just like they say, happens to all good things
It all came to an end
My whole world came crashing in front of me
As you slowly became my friend

I'll try so hard to turn and walk away
And when you are not near
I'll think of you with a smile
Bite my lip and hold in my every last tear
