Waves of Joy

by Just Lisa   Jan 25, 2007

*I wrote this poem as a sequel to Pools of sorrow, written by an awesome friend! The inspiration for both of these comes from the Beatles song across the universe.*

She walks in the footprints, the ones she made the night before,

Her words no longer pooled, her heart no longer sore.

Soo much happiness, soo much to say,

The puddles are gone now and the sky no longer gray.

She'll watch them get closer, each one with it's own special beat,

Sitting on the shore, waiting for another to crash across her feet.

No more sadness, no more sorrow,

She hopes for joy to return tomorrow.

As the day grows older, the waves now calm for the night,

She walks away in sadness, her thoughts stay pooled tonight.

Today is over, soon her silence will drain her soul,

Until she returns tomorrow, the waves of joy will make her whole.
