DARKNESS

I'M DRESSED IN BLACK JUST ANOTHER DAY
WITH THOUGHTS ON MY MIND
ON THIS COUCH I STILL LAY

I BEG FOR FORGIVENESS WITH SADNESS WITHIN
THE DEATH OF A NEW BEGINNING
I STILL COMMIT SIN

I'M DRESSED IN BLACK JUST ANOTHER DAY
WITH STAINS ON MY SOUL
IN A WORLD DARK AND GREY

IN PAIN I AM FOR I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO
THE END OF MY PROMISE SHINES DULL
THIS COLOR I WHERE RESEMBLES ME TRUE

I'M DRESSED IN BLACK JUST ANOTHER DAY
WITH THIS LIFE I ONCE HAD
IF I DON'T SHOW MY TRUE COLORS
I FEEL TWICE AS BAD

I DO WHAT I CAN TO FOOL MYSELF
TO EASE THE SHARPNESS OF THE PAIN
BUT WITH THE LOSS OF A NEW BEGINNING
I'M LEFT WITH A SCAR NOT A STAIN

I'M DRESSED IN BLACK JUST ANOTHER DAY
THE BEGINNING TO THE END
THERE IS NO TOMORROW IN TODAY
SO DRESSED FOR MY DEATH I LAY
