Come in with the rain (Contest)

by in.need.of.a.lucky.charm   Mar 5, 2007

Baby it's looking cold tonight,
It's growing dark out there,
I can't wait for you to walk through the door,
And escape the arctic air.

The fire is stoked and crackling,
The lights are warm and dim,
Inside is so inviting,
When the outside is so grim.

So hurry now, it's getting late,
The rain begins to pour,
No need to ring the bell or knock,
For I'll be waiting by the door.

I'll peer out the window every now and then,
Just to see when you will show,
I hope you have your coat and hat,
For I think it's starting to snow.

I see a shadow in the night,
As the lightening strikes the sky,
Kick off your boots and step inside,
So I can hold you until you're dry.

Baby just come in with the rain,
As the thunder roars above,
Darling you have made it home,
You have come home to your love.
