Half Angel, Half Demon

by Sarah   Mar 7, 2007

The skies, almost transparent
Vacant and without a single cloud
That only a demon seems to stare back at the people on the dry, unfertile earth
The eyes of the luminous spirit itself, seething with constant rage
Radiating its evil hatred among-st the suffer-able,
Who are crying because of their lack in strength,
Powerless to the demon who rules them
When suddenly the unexpected occurs, the demon morphs very furtively into an angel
Glowing and dreamlike
In a sense, becomes unreal
A distant dream, a glimmer of hope
An angel shining through the darkness,
Where the unwanted pitch black velvet is creeping its way around every corner
The angel doing its best to renew the country from the velvet that engulfs it
Expressing itself as half an angel and half a demon
Compassionately cruel
Essential yet fearsome
Shifting between its split personality
Unaware of how it does so
Becoming both a burden and a refuge to the world
