If you're gonna walk a thousand miles
At least bring good walking shoes
If you're gonna gamble day and night
You better have the money to lose

Life is too short to have it all ready
Each moment falling into place
Still carry a map to help you out
Like a runner with courses to race

If they're gonna fight, then be prepared
To defend when you've fallen down
If they're gonna critisize your every move
Prepare to lose your crown

Everyone has enemies, and same with friends
But enemies wont help you stand
So if you're gonna jump, just make sure
You have a safe place to land
